If you weren’t aware there are three world ages written in God’s Word.

Genesis 1
[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

This verse is talking about the first world age and this is right before the flesh age which we’re currently in now.
   
Revelation 12
[1] And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: [2] And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

[3] And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. [4] And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

This dragon that is mentioned is satan in the first world age and the stars are God’s children.

Satan’s tail drew a third of God’s children into following him in that world age and this is why we’re in this second world age now which is the flesh age or second world age.

God did not want to destroy His children so he made this flesh age for everyone to be born innocent through a women (born from above) to decide whether they want to follow God or follow satan, it’s our choice.

Genesis 1
[2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

The word “was” is Hebrew word 1962 a primitive root (compare 1933); to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary):–beacon, X altogether, be(-come), accomplished, committed, like), break, cause, come (to pass), do, faint, fall, + follow, happen, X have, last, pertain, quit (one-)self, require, X use.

The earth became without form and void. Why?

Jeremiah 4
[23] I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. [24] I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. [25] I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. [26] I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. [27] For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

This is the end of the world that then was which is the first world age. Same earth different age.

Again the word “was” is became, because God doesn’t make things empty and void.

Isaiah 45
[18] For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

Job 38: [1] Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, [ 2] Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? [3] Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. [4] Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. [5] Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? [6] Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;  [7] When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (You can read more about this in Job 38.)

This the first world age, when the stars sang together and remember stars are symbolic of God’s children.

2 Peter 3
[5] For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: [6] Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
  

This is Not Noah’s Flood.

[7] But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
   
We’re currently in the second world age now and then the third world age will be the eternity.

[8] But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

To understand God’s Word it is crucial to understand that there’re three world ages.

2 Peter 3
[9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. [10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [11] Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, [12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? [13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

When you see “before the foundation of the world” written in God’s Word, it’s talking about the world that then was. The first world age.

Foundation is Greek word ‘katabole’ 2602 from 2598; a deposition, i.e. founding; figuratively, conception:–conceive, foundation. from 2596 and 906; to throw down:–cast down, lay.

God overthrew (cast down) the world that then was, because of satan’s rebellion. Satan’s job was to protect the mercy seat, but instead he wanted to sit on it himself and wanted to be God.

So for his rebellion God gave him a death sentence in Ezekiel 28.

One of Satan’s names is death and its because he will be thrown into the lake a fire and will die.

Do you understand that there’s three world ages and why we’re all here now? Understanding God’s plan and mysteries are very important. Study God’s word chapter by chapter and verse by verse and always ask for knowledge and wisdom.
